Our Growing Practices
Microgreens are tiny vegetables and herbs harvested during the first 1-3 weeks of growth. Similar to sprouts, they vary in color, taste and texture, making them a favorite of chefs. Packed with nutrients, microgreens deliver about 5 times the levels of vitamins C, E, K and Beta Carotene than mature versions of the same plants. At First Steps Farm, microgreens have become our primary crop, due to popularity with both restaurants and farmers' markets.
